The 2-1R scientific camera outperforms its predecessor for quantitative and low-light applications by a significant margin. Improved thermal management techniques, along with a significantly better dynamic range and 14-bit output, have resulted in a very adaptable entry-level research camera for documentation and image analysis in Life Science, Clinical, and Material Science applications, among other fields. With a dark current rating of less than 1 e-/s, the INFINITY2-1R is capable of handling seconds of exposure time with ease.
The INFINITY2-1R features a dynamic range of 64 dB, which allows users to image samples that are unevenly illuminated without concern. When the images are processed, they reveal detail in both bright and dark areas that would not be generally seen with lower dynamic range cameras. Advanced thermal management allows for exposure lengths of several minutes without the need for a cooling, which would be significantly more expensive.
The Lumenera 2-1R includes INFINITY CAPTURE, a user-friendly image capture tool, and INFINITY ANALYZE, a comprehensive image analysis package that includes features such as camera control, measurement, annotation, tiling, and post-capture augmentation, among others.
